Although Paul was prepared to go full steam ahead for the original July fight date, Tyson suffered a medical emergency in May and matchup was ultimately postponed.

Meanwhile, 58-year-old "Baddest Man on the Planet" Tyson has a legendary boxing career dating back to 1985 until his 2005 retirement, with a record of 50 wins, six losses, and two no-contests.
Paul's most recent match was a July 2024 sixth-round TKO win over Mike Perry, while Tyson's was a November 2020 exhibition bout against Roy Jones Jr. that was declared a draw.
Netflix covered the lead-up to the event in its Ice-T-narrated sports docu-series, "Countdown: Paul vs. Tyson," which dropped its first two episodes on Nov. 7 and a final episode on Nov. 12.
The show also highlighted the build-up to Paul and Tyson's co-main event: A rematch between undisputed super lightweight champion Katie Taylor and unified featherweight champion Amanda "The Real Deal" Serrano.
