BEAUMONT, Texas — If you're like many of us here at 12News you enjoy getting out with your friends or family and finding something to do on the weekends.

We don't claim that this list is in any way a complete representation of all the happenings in Southeast Texas this weekend but it's a list of a few to get ya started!

Classic Movie Nights - Top Gun

  • Kids under 12 $4, adults $6
  • Doors open at 6 p.m., movie starts at 7 p.m.

    • Summer at the Edison Museum

  • Free admission
  • "Picturing Women Inventors" exhibit is brought by the Smithsonian featuring several innovative women in STEM. The museum has also created posters to feature the women in Thomas Edison's life.

    • Swing Out Civic Club Dance Lessons

  • Admission: $10

    Christmas in July Celebration

  • Teddy Morse's Cowboy Harley-Davidson Beaumont
  • Bring a stuffed animal to donate and help support LEO.
  • Food and music

    'Everyday People' by Jerome Cabeen

  • The Art Museum of Southeast Texas presents Jerome Cabeen Everyday People in AMSET's Café Arts series for local artists.

    • The Sandlot - Beaumont

  • Kids under 12 $4, adults $6
  • Doors open at 6 p.m., movie starts at 7 p.m.
  • Cool off inside the Jefferson Theatre with the Dog Days of Summer film series
