In the City of Rockville, governmental offices are closed Thanksgiving Day on Thursday, Nov. 23. County government buildings will be closed on Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 23. The closures include the senior center, Glenview Mansion, the Rockville Civic Center business office and the Fitzgerald theater box office will be closed. Theater tickets are always available at www.rockvillemd.gov/theatre .
On Friday, Nov. 24, the following facilities will open on limited schedules: Croydon Creek Nature Center (10 a.m.-2 p.m.); Lincoln Park, Thomas Farm and Twinbrook community centers (10 a.m.-6 p.m.); the Rockville Skate Park (3-9 p.m.); and the Rockville Swim and Fitness Center (6 a.m.-9 p.m.). Turkey trots will be taking place across the D.C. area on Thanksgiving Day. The Capitol View Park 2023 Charity Turkey Trot 5K Fun Run takes place 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., at 9h819 Capitol View Ave. in Silver Spring. More information is available online.

Montgomery County office buildings: Closed Thursday, Nov. 23.
Montgomery County Public Schools: Closed Wednesday, Nov. 22 through Friday, Nov. 24.
State offices and courts: Closed on Thursday, Nov. 23 and Friday, Nov. 24.
State Motor Vehicle Administration offices and Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program stations: Closed Thursday, Nov. 23.

Alcohol Beverage Services: All ABS stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. Stores will operate from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 24.
Department of Permitting Services: All offices, including customer service lobby, will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23. Offices will be open 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 24.
Montgomery County 311: Will not be in operation on Thursday, Nov. 23.
Ride On: Will operate on a Sunday service schedule on Thanksgiving Day.
Ride On extRa and Ride On Flex: Will not be in operation on Thanksgiving Day.
: On Thanksgiving Day, will operate a weekends and holidays service for the Orange Route. The Blue Route will not be in service.
MARC Train and Commuter Bus: No MARC Train service on Thanksgiving Day. On Friday, Nov. 24, will operate on Saturday schedule on the Penn Line only. There will be no Camden or Brunswick Line service on Nov. 24.
TRiPS Silver Spring commuter store: Will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. It will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 24.

County-provided trash and recycling: No collections on Thanksgiving Day. Collections for the remainder of the week will slide one day, with the final collections on Saturday, Nov. 25.
Shady Grove Transfer Station and Recycling Center: Entire facility closed Thanksgiving Day.
Aquatic Centers: Will close at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23. Closed on Thanksgiving Day.
Community Recreation Centers: Closed Thanksgiving Day and Friday, Nov. 24.
Senior Centers: Closed Thanksgiving Day and Friday, Nov. 24.
