Despite nine games being scheduled for today, attention has already turned to the four draws which will take place to determine who play's who in the quarter-finals, as well as who goes up and who goes down. England have already secured promotion back to League A as the Three Lions under interim manager Lee Carlsey topped their League B group ahead of Greece. However Scotland and Ireland are set for more games, as the two sides rescued themselves with final day wins to avoid automatic relegation, instead securing a spot in the play-offs. Here is everything you need need to know about the Nations League knockout stage draw including the quarter-finals and relegation/promotion play-offs. When is the Nations League draw? The 2024-25 Nations League quarter-finals and play-off draws will take place this Friday, November 22 at 11am UK time. The draw will be held at the House of European Football in Nyon Switzerland. Teams from the same group are not allowed to be drawn against one another, eg France and Italy can't face each other. For the promotion/relegation play-offs, the teams will be drawn as such: Third-placed teams from League A will be paired against League B runners-up. Teams who finished third in League B will come up against League C runners-up, whilst two best-ranked sides from League C will face the runners-up of League D. The promotion/relegation play-off games will take place across two legs, one home game and one away. If the team from the higher league wins the play-offs, both sides will remain in their respective leagues. However if the lower league teams wins the two-legged affair, they will swap places with the higher-ranked team, taking their place in the higher league whilst the other team is demoted to the lower league. When will the games be played? The next round of Nations League fixtures will be played across March 20 to 23, with the League A semi-finals and final scheduled to take place in June.
