SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) – We are in the third week of October, and the leaves are quickly falling off the trees across parts of the state, while quickly approaching peak for others thanks to the recent chill across the Empire State.

Below is the latest fall foliage report from I Love NY :

Adirondacks:

In Clinton County:

  • with yellow and orange leaves.

  • In Essex County:

  • with muted yellow leaves.

  • Crown Point with yellow, gold and orange shades and a few splashes of red.

  • with muted-to-average shades of orange and yellow, and hints of red and purple.

  • Lake Placid with bright deep reds and golds, and muted yellows.

  • area around Whiteface Mountain with average-to-bright seasonal shades.

  • Whiteface Mountain in Wilmington with a bright mix of fall colors.

  • In Franklin County:

  • area with bright red, orange, yellow and purple leaves.

  • Tupper LakeMt. Arab with canary, goldenrod, russet, mahogany, pumpkin and sporadic paprika and burgundy leaves of slightly above average brilliance.

  • In Hamilton County:

  • Lapland Lake Nordic Vacation Center in Benson with small bursts of muted yellow and orange leaves.

  • Long Lake with muted shades of yellow and orange.

  • In Lewis County:

  • Nearly 100% and past-peak foliage in with seasonal hues.

  • In St. Lawrence County:

  • with muted-to-average past-peak leaves of deep rusty orange, shades of yellow, and some red.

  • In Warren County:

  • Lake George with bright seasonal shades.

  • with a mix of bright fall colors.

  • Capital-Saratoga:

    In Albany County:

  • Cohoes Falls in Cohoes with green-yellow, maroon and orange leaves.

  • WildPlay Thacher in Thacher State Park with bright seasonal hues, and a small touch of purple.

  • In Fulton County:

  • at Great Sacandaga Lake with average-to-bright seasonal shades.

  • In Rensselaer County:

  • Rensselaer County, and 70-85% change in the western and southern parts, with bright shades of red, yellow, orange and purple.

  • with brilliant shades of orange and red, and some declining shades of gold.

  • In Saratoga County:

  • Saratoga Spa State Park in Saratoga Springs, with plenty of bright orange and yellow leaves, and increasing amounts of red.

  • In Schenectady County:

  • Maple Ski Ridge in Rotterdam with golden yellows and oranges and spots of bright orange and red adding beautiful vibrant pops of color.

  • Central Park in Schenectady with dark reds and purples. Yellows and oranges are also visible throughout.

  • In Washington County:

  • with orange, red, and some purple leaves.

  • Catskills:

    In Delaware County:

  • with bright seasonal leaves, plus many brown leaves and droppage.

  • with orange leaves.

  • In Greene County:

  • with yellow, orange and brown leaves.

  • with very brilliant shades of gold, crimson and orange.

  • In Sullivan County:

  • with vibrant shades of gold, orange and crimson.

  • Up to 55% in with a subtle-to-bright blend of yellow, red and orange leaves. Similar conditions will be found west of the city, towards Genesee County, and east towards Wayne County. In Rochester's neighborhood, look for maroon leaves as well.

  • In Onondaga County:

  • Green Lakes State Park with average-to-bright autumnal shades.

  • In Ontario County:

  • with bright yellow, orange and burgundy leaves.

  • Bristol Mountain in Canandaigua with orange leaves.

  • In Schuyler County:

  • More than 50% change in Watkins Glen with a mix of bright fall shades.

  • In Seneca County:

  • with average-to-bright red and gold leaves.

  • In Steuben County:

  • with bright-to-very brilliant shades of orange, yellow, red and burgundy.

  • In Tompkins County:

  • with bright gold leaves and pops of red and orange.

  • In Wayne County:

  • with muted-to-average yellow and orange leaves, and a few shades of red.

  • In Yates County:

  • Penn Yan with yellow shades and some orange and red pops.

  • Chautauqua-Allegheny:

    In Cattaraugus County:

  • with very brilliant oranges and reds, plus some yellow.

  • Allegany State Park in Salamanca with just-past-peak yellow and red leaves and considerable droppage.

  • In Chautauqua County:

  • Greater Niagara:

  • More than 50% change in with a bright mix of fall shades.

  • East Aurora with orange and yellow shades, and a few red and purple pops.

  • Oswego County with red, orange and yellow leaves predominant in the northern portion, and bright pops of red and orange among the still mostly green tree line in the county's southern portion.

  • Seaway Visitor Center at Eisenhower Lock in Massena with mostly yellow and orange leaves and a few touches of red.
