Who will play Texas in Big 12 championship game in Arlington?
W.Johnson3 months ago
After Texas clinched a spot in the Big 12 conference championship game with its win over Texas Tech on Friday, the Longhorns await the results of Oklahoma State vs. BYU on Saturday, which will determine their opponent. Oklahoma beat TCU in a monster of a game Friday, 69-45, to ensure it could do no worse than a three-way tie with Kansas State and Oklahoma State for the second-best record in the Big 12. All three came into the final week 6-2 in the conference. Kansas State needed Oklahoma to lose to have a chance at making the title game, so the outcome of the Wildcats’ game Saturday against Iowa State is no longer a factor. But if Oklahoma State beats BYU, the Cowboys would win the tiebreaker over Oklahoma and set up a showdown with Texas in Arlington, thanks their regular-season victory over their Bedlam rival.
