Who’s Jordan Onovughe? All You Need to Know About Colorado’s Redshirt Freshman

The Buffs have hit the road for the Arizona showdown and amidst the sea of known faces, there's one guy you haven't heard about. Enter Jordan Onovughe, Buffs,' redshirt freshman who will be starting against the Wildcats this weekend. Hailed as a 3-star prospect coming from Santa Ana, Jordan Onovughe got quite the numbers to back up his talent. On3 ranked him as the No.101 WR in the entire class and the No.51 player coming out of California.

And hours before the game, Unapologeticallybuffs took to X to share what Shedeur SandersDeion Sanders had to say about Onovughe. "He's the next one coming off the bench. It's a lot of confidence in him," Unapologeticallybuffs mentioned in the caption of his post. Onovughe played at Mater Dei back in 2022 under HC Bruce Rollinson and managed to earn himself quite the fame.

In just 3 seasons during his time at Mater Dei, Jordan managed to rack up a record of 29 wins. His final record was 29-1. Even during the COVID era, despite being shorthanded, this dude still managed to go a perfect 5-0. Also followed that up with a solid 12-0 record in 2021.

As a senior, Jordan has managed to rack up 4 touchdowns along with 500+ yards under his belt along with 46 receptions. "He's going to be able to add a lot of success to this offense," Shedeur Sanders had pointed out while talking about the offense depth going into the Arizona game. With Omarion Miller out for the entire season and Terrell Timmons still recovering from his injuries, WR coach Jason Phillips could give a go to Jordan.

This would be a big opening for the Buffs to win back their crown. Against Kansas State, the entire team was handicapped going into the second half. Travis HunterJimmy Horn Jr. were both out and Shedeur was left standing in a pocket that disappointed us, just like they did during the Huskers. Deion Sanders has one shot at winning this one.
