Wichita Falls ISD to unveil new championship memorial

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - The Wichita Falls ISD will unveil the new WFISD Championship Memorial on Friday, Nov. 8, at 5:00 p.m.

The unveiling will be held at Memorial Stadium's west gate.

This event will occur just before the inaugural matchup between Legacy High School and Memorial High School.

WFISD said the Championship Memorial pays tribute to WFISD's storied athletic legacy and honors the athletic achievements of student-athletes from the district's former high schools: Booker T. Washington, Hirschi, Rider, and Wichita Falls High School.

The event will provide an opportunity for the community to honor the past and look forward to a future of athletic achievements as WFISD enters a new era with Legacy and Memorial High Schools.
