Wildlife Prairie Park Holiday Festivities | Good Day Central Illinois
HANNA CITY, Ill. (WYZZ) — The Wildlife Prairie Park is gearing up for the holiday season with some upcoming festivities.
Before the weather cools down, hikers can get their last trek in on the 3.5-mile Wildlife Waddle hike on Friday, Nov. 29 at 10 a.m. The park encourages people to just "waddle on in," as the event is free with park admission.
For those who prefer the indoors, the park hosts a Critters Chat every Saturday. The elementary-oriented Critters & Cookies events are at noon, while the adult Critters & Coffee events are at 2 p.m. All children must be chaperoned by an adult.

Once the Christmas season kicks off, attendees can ride through a magical wonderland on Santa's Wildlife Express. People will be able to meet their animal ambassadors and decorate Christmas-themed cookies and crafts in Santa's workshop. On Dec. 14, the park will also host a Santa's Children Musical Recital where children can sign up for 10-minute slots to show off their musical talents. Tickets for Santa's Wildlife Express are on sale now for Dec. 13, 14, and 15.
