Wilkes romps to third straight win

CAMDEN, N.J. – Tori Kerr and Madeleine Brownsey combined for 10 Wilkes goals in the Colonels 18-8 non-conference victory over Rutgers-Camden on Monday afternoon.
Brownsey finished with five goals and one helper while Kerr added five goals on seven shots. Carley Smith chipped in two goals and a team-high six assists, while Gabby Ford contributed four goals and two helpers including 1-for-1 on free position shots.
Morgan Galluzzo made four saves in net for Wilkes (3-0).

King’s Harnischfeger named Player of Week
King’s College senior softball standout Jenn Harnischfeger, a Nanticoke grad, has been selected the Freedom Conference Softball Player of the Week.
A returning NFCA All-Region choice and three-time All-Freedom selection at shortstop, Harnischfeger led King’s to a 6-2 season start on its Spring Break Trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., last week.
As King’s leadoff hitter, she batted .391 with a .826 slugging percentage, including four doubles, two home runs, four RBI, stole five bases and scored 13 runs in eight games. Harnischfeger also drew nine walks to produce an outstanding .563 on-base average.
