Sports Will Commanders 'Ride Roller-Coaster' After Cardinals Blowout?

The Washington Commanders have continued to roll with a 42-14 demolition of the Arizona Cardinals at the University of Phoenix Stadium .

After their superb road win against the Cincinnati Bengals a week ago, the Commanders built on that with another superb display against the Cardinals.

Earlier in the week, head coach Dan Quinn stated that he didn't want his team to "ride the rollercoaster" of emotions after such a big win and was wary of a letdown in Arizona.

Well, it didn't happen as Washington bludgeoned the Cardinals.

Jayden Daniels was again in superb form going 26 for 30 with 233 yards, one touchdown and one interception, but it wasn't all Daniels though.

The run game with Brian Robinson Jr., who totaled 101 yards and a touchdown from 21 carries, along with Jeremy McNichols, who rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns from eight carries. Of course, Daniels also did his part on the ground, getting 47 yards and a touchdown.

It was total domination from Quinn's team. Washington had a whopping 449 total yards, averaged 6.7 yards per play, had 10 more first downs (28-10), was nine of 12 on third-down, and had the ball for nearly seven minutes more than Arizona.

Now sitting nicely at 3-1, it is going to be tough not to revel in this week as it marks back-to-back road games in which the Commanders have played high-level football and executed the game plan to near perfection.

But this is the part of the rollercoaster that Quinn will be wary that his team doesn't ride. Two consecutive wins are nice, but the Commanders will want to build on that next week against the Cleveland Browns.
