William C. Burk

William C. Burk, 82, of Dallas, died on Monday, February 28, 2011, at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Plymouth, he was a son of the late Raymond and Ruth Coslett Burk. He graduated from Plymouth High School, class of 1946, and attended Penn State University.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Bill had resided with his wife at the Meadows Manor in Dallas since July of 2009. He had previously resided on Chase Road in Shavertown for 47 years.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as an electrician for IBEW Local 163. He was a member of the Forty Fort United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Men. He was also a member of Plymouth Lodge No. 332, F & AM and Irem Temple AAONMS.
Bill was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, the former Marguerite Plummer; daughters, Susan Jones and her husband, Tony, Forty Fort, and Kim Regiec and her husband, Mike, Gettysburg, Pa.; brother, George Burk, Plymouth; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Jane Plummer; grandchildren, Bryan, Megan, Melissa and Andrew; as well as several nieces and nephews.
will be held at 11 a.m. Friday from the Hugh B. Hughes & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1044 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort. The interment will be at Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Carverton. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
