GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Winter Wonderland Gainesville invites guests to celebrate the holiday season while supporting a good cause. Attendees are encouraged to bring toy donations to help spread holiday cheer to children in need, starting Nov. 29. The event is set to feature a dazzling display of 100,000 lights at the North Central Florida YMCA. Among the highlights is Gainesville's only light show where synchronized lights dance to music. Children and adults can enjoy activities like ornament-making and cookie decorating. Santa will be on-site every night for meet-and-greets, and guests can take photos with holiday characters, including a snowman. Live performances from local community acts will take place on the Twinkle Stage, and a Christmas market will feature a wide array of vendors offering unique holiday gifts, handmade crafts, and festive treats. The event also includes interactive elements like the Elf Training Academy, where attendees can search for clues around the venue. Food trucks will be available for those looking to grab a bite without entering the main event area. Last year, Winter Wonderland Gainesville raised over $3,000 for programs and services at the North Central Florida YMCA. One dollar from every ticket sold will be donated to the YMCA in continued support of their initiatives. Early bird tickets are $12 until Nov. 1, then general admission will be $15. A season pass for unlimited access is available for $60. A soft opening on Nov. 27 will offer limited half-priced tickets. Tickets are available for purchase online .
