Winterfest returns: 18th year of more cheer, live reindeer, and a hot rod Santa!

SAN ANTONIO - The 18th annual Winterfest San Antonio is back this Saturday, Dec. 2 with more holiday cheer than ever before.

The event will feature live reindeer, 50,000 pounds of snow, Santa Claus arriving in a hot rod truck, and the Grinch.

In addition to the traditional festivities, this year's Winterfest will also include:

  • Free photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus
  • Carnival rides and family activities, including two snow slides
  • Holiday shopping from local artisans
  • Performances by local singers, musicians, and dancers
  • Delicious food and drink for purchase from local restaurants and food trucks
  • Winterfest will be held on the grounds of North Central Baptist Hospital from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $5 for admission only or $10 for an all-access pass, which includes a photo with Santa, all-day carnival rides, and snow slide rides.

    A portion of the proceeds from Winterfest will benefit the Brighton Center, a nonprofit organization that serves children in San Antonio with disabilities and developmental delays.
