Winterfest returns: 18th year of more cheer, live reindeer, and a hot rod Santa!

SAN ANTONIO - The 18th annual Winterfest San Antonio is back this Saturday, Dec. 2 with more holiday cheer than ever before.

The event will feature live reindeer, 50,000 pounds of snow, Santa Claus arriving in a hot rod truck, and the Grinch.

In addition to the traditional festivities, this year's Winterfest will also include:

Free photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus

Carnival rides and family activities, including two snow slides

Holiday shopping from local artisans

Performances by local singers, musicians, and dancers

Delicious food and drink for purchase from local restaurants and food trucks

Winterfest will be held on the grounds of North Central Baptist Hospital from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $5 for admission only or $10 for an all-access pass, which includes a photo with Santa, all-day carnival rides, and snow slide rides.

A portion of the proceeds from Winterfest will benefit the Brighton Center, a nonprofit organization that serves children in San Antonio with disabilities and developmental delays.
