LAS VEGAS ( KVVU /Gray News) - A woman has been found dead in her freezer and a person is under arrest in connection with her death.

According to Las Vegas police, 37-year-old Daniel Roush is facing charges after a woman's body was found in a mobile home earlier this week.

Police said they received a call about a missing woman around 11:40 a.m. Wednesday. People in the neighborhood told them that their 68-year-old neighbor had suddenly disappeared, and she had not been seen walking with her dog since late October.

Arriving officers said no one answered the front door of the mobile home at first, but once inside, they met with two people who were acting suspicious.

Officers detained those inside the home for questioning, who said they didn't know about the woman's whereabouts.

Police searched the mobile home and found a locked freezer. Officers called for a locksmith to open the freezer which revealed the woman's body inside.

Roush, one of the people being questioned, was taken into police custody and charged with open murder.

Neighbors said the woman had lived in the mobile home park community for more than 20 year and that she had hired two people to help with some work at her home.

Neighbor Christine Marshall said she had known the woman for 20 years and that she was almost too kind and open to strangers.

"She was just very open to giving out too much information," she said. "I told the cop last night, any con artist hit a real payday. She probably would have given them anything they wanted. She did not deserve that."

The two workers eventually started to live in the woman's mobile home, but when her medication was stolen, neighbors said that is when they were kicked out.

Another neighbor said the woman told them a few weeks ago that she expressed concern that the two laborers might come back and hurt her.

The identification of the woman, as well as the cause and manner of her death, remain pending from the Clark County Coroner's Office.
