Woman accused of second-degree murder after roommate's disappearance in 2022
A woman is accused of second-degree murder after she was found to be connected to the death of her roommate who disappeared in 2022, according to the Orlando Police Department (OPD).
Police announced on Thursday, that Gisselle Victoria-Gonzalez, 42, was arrested in Hartfield, Connecticut and booked on one count of second-degree murder, one count of tampering with physical evidence, and one count of grand theft.
According to OPD, Runyleidy Medina-Pacheco, 42, was reported missing to the police department by Victoria-Gonzalez on Dec. 27, 2022. Police say Victoria-Gonzalez told officers she had not seen her roommate, Medina-Pacheco, since Dec. 25, 2022.

As the investigation continued detectives found numerous inconsistencies in versions of the events described by Victoria-Gonzalez. OPD says a search warrant was executed at their shared residence where evidence was recovered that indicated a violent incident had occurred.
OPD says multiple local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies were able to find Victoria-Gonzalez residing in Hartford. After conducting additional interviews they were able to arrest Victoria-Gonzalez. Video released by the Orlando Police Department shows Victoria-Gonzalez in a red dress and handcuffs as she's being walked to an elevator by law enforcement.
As of November of 2024, the body ofMedina-Pacheco has not been located.
