LAFOURCHE PARISH, La. ( WGNO ) — A second person has been arrested following a September drug trafficking investigation that resulted in the discovery of around 120 pounds of marijuana in Lafourche Parish.

According to the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office, 23-year-old Jaron Rousse, of Larose, had previously been arrested in the case. His girlfriend, 26-year-old Talesha Cheramie, of Larose, has now also been arrested.

Initially, LPSO detectives were investigating Rousse and reportedly learned that he was going to receive a shipment of marijuana. Later, on Sept. 25, and with the assistance of K-9 "Sox," the delivery truck was found and Rousse was allegedly observed trying to collect the shipment.
