CUSTER COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - A second person is now facing a criminal charge after three people were reportedly killed in northern Custer County Monday night.

Nancy Rae Medina-Kochis is charged with accessory to a crime. According to the Custer County Sheriff’s Office Medina-Kochis and shooting suspect Hanme K. Clark were being held in New Mexico while awaiting extradition to Colorado as of Wednesday night.

The Custer County Sheriff’s Office is reporting Hanme Clark was taken into custody by New Mexico State Police Tuesday afternoon. Medina-Kochis was with Clark at the time of his arrest. The arrest update came about 24 hours after the shooting was first reported. The victims were identified as Rob Geers, James Daulton and Beth Wade Geers. A fourth victim was taken to a hospital in Colorado Springs and was identified as Patty Daulton. Investigators believe Clark was the one who shot all four victims.

The shooting happened at 173 Rocky Ridge Road, in a remote area eight miles northeast of Westcliffe, close to the Fremont County line, prompting a manhunt for Clark that lasted about 24 hours.

Based on information in an affidavit, it appears the motivation for the shooting is tied to a dispute over land and property lines.
