Inducing panic: Mayfield Road

A woman, 45, was arrested for inducing panic after she pulled a fire alarm at the Gates Mills Place apartments around 2:30 a.m. Sept. 22.

She said that she pulled it because she dropped her keys in the elevator shaft and did not have her phone to call for help. She believed it was an emergency and felt that pulling the fire alarm was the appropriate action.

Officers also noted an odor of alcohol on her breath.

Disorderly conduct: Golden Gate Plaza

A woman called 911 from Chuck E. Cheese Sept. 21 to report being hit by in the face by a man.

Responding officers found the couple walking in the plaza. The woman was caused a disturbance by screaming and cursing at the man and officers and was subsequently cited for disorderly conduct.

The man said there was no violence between them and that she went on a tantrum after seeing a text conversation on his phone.

The Beachwood woman, 24, had several active warrants but none of the agencies wanted to pick her up.

Theft: Mayfield Road

A Raising Cane's employee said Sept. 21 that he discovered fraudulent charges on his debit card and suspected a co-worker was responsible due to the name that cash app payments had been made with the card.

He said that the night the charges were made, the co-worker had finished his shift before he did and was hanging around for a while near the breakroom. He suspected he gained access to his credit card at that time.

The co-worker was identified as a Euclid boy, 17, and charges are pending an investigation.

Trespassing: Golden Gate Plaza

An employee of K&G Menswear was arrested for criminal trespassing Sept. 21 after refusing to leave the store for causing a disturbance.

The Cleveland Heights man, 39, refused to leave when asked by management and then by responding officers.

The staff said that he had called a co-worker by derogatory names when she asked him to check out a customer because her register was not working.

Theft: Mayfield Road

A Bedford man, 69, was charged with theft and possession of drug paraphernalia Sept. 22 after he walked out of Giant Eagle with a cart of stolen groceries, valued at $421.

A crack pipe was found in his pants pocket when officers located him walking in front of the plaza.

Trespassing: SOM Center Road

A known homeless woman was seen digging in a hole near some bushes in front of the Winking Lizard around 6:45 a.m. Sept. 25.

Responding officers located the woman, 53, and reminded her that she had previous been issued a trespass warning for all of Eastgate Plaza. She responded with a verbal attack but was subsequently detained and arrested for trespassing.
