Woman stabbed to death on Randleman Road early Sunday

A Greensboro woman was stabbed to death on Randleman Road early Sunday, according to a news release from the Greensboro Police Department.

Investigators say that around 3:03 a.m. Greensboro Police, Greensboro Fire Department, and Guilford County EMS responded to a cardiac/respiratory arrest call in the 2300 block of Randleman Road.

They found Brandy Elaine Wright, 45, unresponsive in a parking lot there, according to the release. Police said her injuries showed she had been assaulted and stabbed.

Wright was pronounced dead at the scene and became the city's 29th homicide victim for 2024.

Information regarding possible suspects or a motive is unavailable at this time.
