Women held on alleged threat

A Buffalo Mills woman is behind bars after allegedly telling her therapist she was going to perform a revenge killing on the police officer who arrested and jailed her husband.

Shelly Marie Greeley, 47, was arraigned Thursday by Magisterial District Judge Kevin R. Diehl on a single felony count of conspiracy to commit aggravated assault and a single misdemeanor count of terroristic threats.

Unable to post $200,000 bail, she was remanded to the Bedford County Correctional Facility.

The charges stem from a phone call state police at Bedford received on Thursday from a therapist with Family Behavioral Resources. The therapist reported that during a therapy session about 4 p.m. Wednesday, Greeley spoke about her husband being arrested and how he had a hearing on Sept. 24, according to the affidavit of probable cause.

Johnnie L. Greeley, 71, was arrested on Aug. 13 and charged with one felony count of failure to provide accurate registration information. He is being held at the Bedford County Correctional Facility on $35,000 bail and is scheduled for plea court on Sept. 24 in front of President Judge Travis Livengood, online court documents state.

Greeley told her therapist if Johnnie were released from jail, she would seek revenge on the arresting officer and that she was "all in." When the therapist questioned her further, Greeley said she planned to shoot the officer. The therapist told Greeley it wasn't a good idea and she could die, but Greeley said she didn't care and hoped to commit suicide by cop, court documents state.

Greeley then told her therapist she was planning to visit Johnnie at the jail following the therapy session. An officer at the facility confirmed Greeley arrived to visit Johnnie about 6 p.m. Sept. 18, but was denied entry due to not being on his approved visitor's list, court documents state.

Greeley is scheduled to appear in front of Diehl for a preliminary hearing on Sept. 25.
