Women Lead Change conference inspiring women to follow their dreams

DES MOINES, Iowa — More than a thousand women attended the two-day Women Lead Change Conference in Des Moines, and it meant big business for vendors like Jenni King.

"I enjoy every day and it doesn't feel like a job," she said.

It's a job she dreamed about for decades. Her mobile boutique finally became a reality two-years-ago.

"It just took some time," she said. "I stayed at home with my kiddos and raised them. I worked for other people and finally decided, you know, this was my time to do something for myself."

Jenni embodies the spirit of Women Lead Change.

"That's our goal in any of these events," says Women Lead Change CEO Tiffany O'Donnell. "Just to expose people to what's possible, educate a little bit, challenge a lot and inspire to do great things."

Angela Jiskoot attended the conference and said the vibe was high energy and empowering.

"We are all here in a room together because we believe in women," she said. "We believe in women in leadership. We believe in women's growth. We believe in women to have opportunities. And because of that, this is a really special and sacred space of this conference."

It's the sort of space that leads to dreams coming true, just ask Jenni King.

"Yeah, anything is possible," she said. "It was finally the time. It was finally my time."
