MINI BAND CAMP

Wyoming Area Marching Band will holding mini camp sessions from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24 and Thursday, July 25 in the band room. The group is are still looking for Color Guard members and anyone interested, including those entering the seventh grade. For more information, contact Mr. Costello at 654-8753.

MOVIE NIGHT

The Wyoming Area Kiwanis Clubs presents Movie Night in the Park the last Friday of each summer month. The next Movie Night will be at 7 p.m. on July 26 in Dailey Park, West Wyoming. Crafts and activities for children begin at 7 p.m., followed by a family movie at 8:15 p.m. Popcorn and drinks will be provided by the Kiwanis Club. Bring blankets and chairs.

CUB SCOUT

EARLY REGISTRATION

Cub Scout Pack 366, sponsored by St. Monica Parish, Wyoming will conduct two early registration dates. The dates are 6:30 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 25 and Thursday, Aug. 8 at the West Wyoming Borough Building, corner of West 8th Street and Shoemaker Avenue, West Wyoming.

Boys who will be in first through fourth grade in the fall will be accepted. The pack is planning an end-of-summer weekend picnic and/or camping trip to Hickory Run State Park.

Cost to register in the pack is $25 plus $10 for the program book. This fee covers membership in the National Boy Scouts of America and the NEPA Council of the BSA plus secondary insurance coverage. The Wyoming Area School District will have its kindergarten orientation for elementary schools on the following days: The Sarah J. Dymond Elementary will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 14; John F. Kennedy Elementary at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 19; Montgomery Avenue Elementary on Wednesday, Aug. 21; and Tenth Street Elementary on Monday, Aug. 26. Parents of kindergarten students will receive letters regarding these dates in August.
