CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - For the first time, Cheyenne will be hosting a Klash Series Body Building Competition.

It will be held at The Lincoln on Saturday.

Bodybuilders locally and across the nation will be competing to qualify for some of the last spots in The Olympia Bodybuilding Championships.

One of those people is our very own Maggie Winkels, a member of the Wyoming News Now Production Team. When she's not making sure our shows run right and the programing is correct on your TVs, she's pumping iron.

"This is something that is not only just so physically enduring, but mentally exhausting as well," Winkels said. "Between all the dieting and the training, it is a 24 hour job all the time, so it is really hard and not a whole lot of people can do it. I'm really, really excited to compete for the first time."

I work out at the same gym as Maggie and seeing her transformation just over the last few months has been nothing short of amazing.

Maggie is a valuable member of our team and we cannot wait to see what she does on the stage.

"I'm usually the one behind the camera. The one queuing people's mics and now I'm in front of the camera so it is really special. It's really cool because friends are going to see this family's going to see it and my coworkers are my friends are going to see it and also interview me and direct it as well. So it's it's a little funny, that's for sure."

The competition also includes a power lifting competition.

You can get tickets here.
