347-yard TSSAA football rushing performance among Ponce Law boys athlete of week nominees

There were some great performances during Week 7 of the 2024 TSSAA football season and beyond.

Now, you get your chance to vote on the Nashville area's best.

William Turner, Brentwood: Turner forced a fumble in the final minute that clinched the Bruins' 17-9 win over rival Franklin.

Blake Owen, Cookeville: Owen rushed for 232 yards and two touchdowns and threw for 167 yards and a touchdown as Cookeville defeated Gallatin, 45-29.

King Gardner, DCA: Gardner had 19 carries for 212 yards and two touchdowns in a 44-6 win over Mt. Pleasant.

Walker Webb, Franklin Road Academy: Webb shot a 6-under 66 at Greystone to win the TSSAA DII-A Middle Regional Championship last week. He led the Panthers to the overall regional championship with a team score of 285 (3 under).

Car'Lando Barton, Friendship Christian: Barton had 34 carries for 347 yards and four touchdowns in Friendship Christian's 52-51 win over Providence Christian.

Jackson Stroup, Gallatin: Stroup was 28-of-37 passing for 344 yards and three touchdowns, adding seven carries for 45 yards, as Gallatin fell to Cookeville.

Caleb Sams, Hendersonville: Sams was 14-of-17 passing for 117 yards and had eight carries for 63 yards and a touchdown in a 27-21 win over Springfield.

Drew Patterson, Lipscomb Academy: Patterson had 25 carries for 175 yards and a touchdown as Lipscomb fell to Christian Brothers (Missouri), 37-23.

Zach Borders, Macon County: Borders had 16 carries for 219 yards and three touchdowns to lead Macon County past DeKalb County, 49-27.

Jared Curtis, Nashville Christian: The Georgia commit completed 18-of-30 passes for 258 yards and three touchdowns, with one interception, while adding 54 yards and a touchdown on the ground as Nashville Christian cruised past Grace Christian, 49-3.

Brogan High, Portland: High was 6-of-6 passing for 149 yards and a touchdown in Portland's 21-14 upset of Henry County. He also ran for a TD.

Tate Marks, Providence Christian: Marks was 15-of-27 passing for 371 yards and seven TDs in the loss to Friendship Christian.

Kyler Creasy, Oakland: Creasy was a perfect 13-of-13 passing for 259 yards and three touchdowns to lead Oakland past Siegel, 42-7.
