Nov. 5—State. Sen. Gene Yaw defeated Democratic challenger Kim Pitcher, leading by more than 50,000 votes on Tuesday night.

Yaw, who serves the 23rd District, said he is happy to get back to Harrisburg for the next four years.

"I am very pleased with the results," he said Tuesday night. "I am happy the voters have that much confidence in me and we have a lot of work to do."

Yaw said he is ready to go right to work.

"We want to get right back to work and finish the things we have already started."

Results will remain unofficial until all precincts report mail-in ballots later this week.
