LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - A 13-year-old girl is dead after a crash in Ingham County Thursday morning. The crash happened just before 7:00 a.m. in Delhi Township at the intersection of Holt and College Roads. Deputies with the Ingham County Sheriff's Office say a 20-year-old woman from Holt was driving eastbound on Holt Rd and started to turn north onto College Rd into the path of a westbound vehicle driven by a 40-year-old man from Onondaga. The vehicles collided and sent the SUV initially headed westbound off the road and into a utility pole. The 40-year-old man had his three children ages 7 (boy), 11 (girl), and 13 (girl) in the car with him. All four of them were transported to an area hospital for injuries that did not seem to be life-threatening at the time. The at-fault drive did not need medical attention after the crash. Hours after the crash, the father involved in the crash said his 13-year-old daughter required emergency surgery and was in a critical state. The young girl passed away shortly after. Investigators with the Ingham County Sheriff's Office are still gathering evidence and information regarding the crash. If you have any information regarding the crash, you are encouraged to call Sgt. Adam Jackson at (517)-676-8212.
