The child was rushed to Maimonides Medical Center in critical condition.BROOKLYN, NY — A 1-year-old boy was hit by a car in Borough Park on Thursday afternoon, New York City Police Department officials said.
The toddler was struck by an SUV near 59th Street and 12th Avenue around 3:20 p.m., the NYPD said.
Emergency responders rushed the child to Maimonides Medical Center in critical condition, officials said.
The SUV driver remained on the scene, and the incident is under investigation, police said.
