Yellow Springs man receives life sentence
YELLOW SPRINGS, Ohio (WDTN) — A man charged with the death of a Yellow Springs resident received his sentence Monday.
According to court documents from the Common Pleas Court of Greene County, Bleything having taken a guilty plea, has been sentenced to life imprisonment. Bleything will be eligible for parole after 30 years.
Six charges — firearm offenses — were dropped against Bleything. The man was found guilty of murder and 7 other charges.
Bleything was indicted for the murder of 71 year old Connie Vang after a shooting within the village on March 14.
Bleything initially pled not guilty to multiple charges stemming from the shooting. A psychological evaluation was also requested on his behalf, citing Bleything not guilty for reasons of insanity.
