You can a ride a Lime scooter or bike to the polls for free in Milwaukee on Election Day
If you're still looking for transportation to the polls on Election Day, you can hitch a ride on a Lime bike or scooter for free when you go vote.
In partnership with When We All Vote , the company is offering every user two free 30-minute rides to get to and from a polling place on Tuesday. You can access the promotion by entering the code "VOTE2024" in the Lime app.
The Lime initiative comes as electric scooters are more popular than ever in Milwaukee, with citywide ridership increasing nearly 40% this year compared to last year. Of the almost 600,000 electric scooter trips the city logged between May and September, Lime accounted for about 89% and Spin, its competitor, made up the remaining.
Spin offered a similar free ride promotion during the August primary election, but has not yet announced one for Tuesday's election.
What other ways can you get to the polls for free?
Bublr Bikes, Uber and Lyft are among other rideshare services providing free or discounted transportation on Tuesday. Find a list of transportation options to get the polls here.
