Dapper Day at Disneyland - Nov. 2-3 Shopping at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and an evening social at Downtown Disney kick off the weekend, followed by a fashion-focused "fall outing" on Sunday, with a mega meet-up at the Mark Twain Riverboat in Frontierland. Waiting For Godot at Geffen Playhouse - Nov. 6-Dec. 15 Samuel Beckett's masterpiece comes to the Geffen Playhouse with its timeless, conversational drama and humor, centered around two characters, Vladimir and Estragon, waiting for the titular Godot. The cast includes Conor Lovett, Aasif Mandvi and Rainn Wilson.
Mariah Carey's Christmas Time at Hollywood Bowl - Nov. 8 Serving all we want for Christmas a little early, the pop diva rings in the holiday season under the stars at this festive show at the Hollywood Bowl featuring her seasonal hits and more. DJ Suss One spins prior. Baby2Baby Gala - Nov. 9 Popular non-profit Baby2Baby provides crucial items to more than one million impoverished U.S. children each year. Academy Award-winning actress Charlize Theron, who founded the Africa Outreach Project, will be honored at this year's glitzy annual fundraiser, presented by Paul Mitchell.
Damn Glad to Meet You: My Seven Decades in the Hollywood Trenches - Nov. 12 The debut memoir of Tim Matheson (Animal House, The West Wing) includes his tales from working with Hollywood heavyweights — from Lucille Ball to Steven Spielberg — for seven decades and counting. Camp Flog Gnaw - Nov. 16-17 Tyler, the Creator's hip-hop-driven festival returns to Dodger Stadium for its 10th anniversary with carnival games, rides and activations. The lineup is always top-notch: last year's featured Kendrick Lamar, SZA and Tyler himself.
Pershing Square Ice Rink - Nov. 21-Jan. 12 » 'Tis the season for ice skating. Providing a winter wonderland in the heart of Downtown L.A., Pershing Square offers 60-minute sessions with weekly DJ Spotlight nights and lessons. General admission ($20) includes skate rental. Cyndi Lauper - Nov. 23 The vivacious singer brings her "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" tour to L.A.'s newest high-tech concert venue, the Intuit Dome. Billed as a "farewell" show, Lauper is sure to be belting out all of her hits, from bouncy pop faves like "She Bop" to beautiful ballads like "True Colors" and "Time After Time."
Star Wars in Concert at Disney Concert Hall - Nov. 21-24 A four-day celebration of composer John Williams' unforgettable scores for the Star Wars films, this event conducted by Sarah Hicks promises to take audiences to a galaxy far, far away. All four dates are hosted at Disney Concert Hall by Anthony Daniels, the actor who played C-3PO in the franchise. Moana 2 - Nov. 27 Taking place three years after the original Walt Disney Animation Studios' hit, this sequel reunites Moana (Auli'i Cravalho) and Maui (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) for another magical voyage into the Polynesian seas. Turkey Trot L.A. - Nov. 28 A Thanksgiving tradition, this run-walk and fundraiser for The Midnight Mission starts and ends in front of DTLA's City Hall and follows a historic course along Spring Street. There's also a "Widdle Wobble" race for kids and a "Dog Jog" for pet owners.
