Food inspections for May released

EUREKA – The Woodford County Health Department has unveiled food inspections for the month of May. Ruth's Garden Tea Room in El Paso did not have any violations. The other establishments appear below along with violation(s):

-Bittner's Eureka Locker, Eureka: ham salad without proper distributor, manufacturer and packer;

-Blue Margaritas, Germantown Hills: raw eggs stored on shelf; no thermometer provided; two containers not identified; door on properly closing & containers not covered;

-Caleri's, Roanoke: employee did not wear gloves in preparation of ready-to-eat chicken; front edge of ice deflecting flap soiled with accumulated debris and black substance; multiple items with internal temperature above 41 degrees Fahrenheit & no thermometer provided;

-Dairy Queen, Metamora: floor cover not attached to three-compartment sink;

-El Paso Health Care Center, El Paso: box of cups stored on the floor; door gasket not attached; washing machine soiled with accumulated debris and hard water deposits & grill covers soiled with accumulated debris and dust;

-The Farmstead, Roanoke: multiple items with internal temperature of below 135 degrees F & containers not identified;

-Java Café, El Paso: -no employees had any food handler certification; bottle not labeled; restroom door not closing properly & hole in brick wall in the dining room;

-Metamora Fields Golf Club Metamora: five dented cans on shelf; ice deflecting flap with accumulated black and pink substances; no thermometer provided & containers not identified;

-Midway Duck Inn, rural Lowpoint: raw eggs stored on shelf; containers not identified; faucet sink leaking & water dripping from the ceiling;

-Posh Tots Academy, rural Metamora: no thermometer provided;

-Sheets Creek Saloon, Spring Bay: container of chicken not large enough; no thermometer provided; containers not labeled & boxes of potatoes stored on the floor;

-Subway, Germantown Hills: only one employee had food handler certification; fresh mozzarella cheese stored too cold & container not labeled.
