LAHS Students Max Posada, Rebecca Li, Daniel Kim Awarded 2024 Los Alamos Phi Beta Kappa Scholarships

GUZIK Phi Beta Kappa Los Alamos Association Thanks to the generous support of alumni donors, the Los Alamos Association of Phi Beta Kappa is pleased to announce $1000 scholarship awards to Max Posada, Rebecca Li, and Daniel Kim, 2024 graduates of Los Alamos High School. Max Posada will attend Columbia University in New York City and plans to double-major in political science and business while continuing to perform cello with Columbia's chamber music ensemble. Posada hopes to pursue a career in law and American politics. Li will be attending the University of California, Los Angeles, and is majoring in psychobiology in hopes of going to medical school. Kim will attend Rice University in Houston and plans to major in electrical engineering and computer science while also participating in track and field. Phi Beta Kappa was founded in 1776 to acknowledge and honor the pursuit of academic excellence in the arts and sciences. Chapters are based on college campuses, and there are 50 alumni associations across the country. The Los Alamos Phi Beta Kappa Association has been awarding scholarships to members of each Los Alamos High School graduating class since 1957, supported by generous donations from local Phi Beta Kappa members.
