Billy Bob Thornton confesses to wearing women's jeans and his explanation is perfect

Billy Bob Thornton has made the surprising admission that he much prefers to wear women's jeans over men's.

The Bad Santa actor, 69, made the unexpected confession during an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show on Tuesday morning, declaring that the piece of clothing is better tailored for the opposite sex – and fit his 'bird legs' better.

The bombshell revelation came mid-interview when talk show host Drew, 49, confronted Billy over a rumor she'd heard.

'By the way, is it true, because this was one of my favorite things that I learned about you,' she said, before asking, 'Do you like women's jeans?'

'I've got them all,' Billy said before bursting into laughter.

'I'm wearing them right now.'

He then explained why he prefers women's jeans, adding: 'The reason I don't like to wear men's jeans is because they're all too baggy.

'And I've got bird legs and it just feels like I'm in a tent.'

'You like a nice fit,' Drew observed.

'I like a nice fit, and they fit great with boots,' Billy reasoned. 'These are women's size 6, Levi's.'

Upon hearing the dress size, Drew then quipped: 'Size 6? I couldn't get my right butt cheek in those!'

Elsewhere during his appearance on the show, Billy made some rare comments about being married a total of six times.

The A-lister, who is on the new series Landman with Demi Moore, is currently happily married to his sixth wife, Men In Black actress Connie Angland, 60.

They have been wed 10 years and have one child together.

One of his famous ex-wives is Oscar-winner Angelina Jolie, whom he was wed to from 2000 until 2003. Before that he romanced Laura Dern.

Speaking to Drew, Billy said: 'I've been with my wife for 22 years. We've been married for 10. We have a daughter.

He said they were introduced on the set of Bad Santa when he was on a 'kind of a lost weekend, you know what I mean.

'We were together within probably a couple of months maybe yeah, she kind of drug me out of the gutter, which was awesome we've been together longer than if you totaled up all the other five, it's more time,' he continued.

When Drew asked how many times he has been married, he shared his story.

'Well, you wanna hear something that really freaked me out because it's six for me,' Billy replied.

'So, one time, I don't know how I got there, but you know when you go on the internet to look something up and then it leads you to like a bunch of other stuff and you don't really wanna look at it, but you do anyway.

'So, I'm looking at it one day and they had the people who with the most marriages in Hollywood. And I was the only person who was alive on it.

'I mean it had like Mickey Rooney and Elizabeth Taylor and all these people and like, I mean people from like you know, that started in the 30s.'

Billy has been married six times and he has four children by three women.

From 1978 to 1980, he was married to Melissa Lee Gatlin. They had a daughter Amanda.

He then married actress Toni Lawrence in 1986; they separated the following year and divorced in 1988.

From 1990 to 1992, Billy was married to actress Cynda Williams.

In 1993, the star married Playboy model Pietra Dawn Cherniak, with whom he had two sons. The marriage ended in 1997.

Billy dated Laura Dern from 1997 to 1999, but in 2000 he married Angelina. They separated in June 2002 and divorced the following year.
