Brandon Armstrong 's biggest cheerleader in the ballroom is his "professional dance wife," Brylee Armstrong.

The Dancing with the Stars pro first saw Brylee on a dating app, prompting him to message her on Instagram. The Utah natives soon began dating before getting engaged in March 2022 and marrying in July of that same year.

In February 2022, Brandon shared a sweet Valentine's Day tribute on Instagram outlining a few of the reasons why he loved Brylee.

"You love unconditionally! Since the first time we met I've noticed that you are loving to everyone and everything! Especially your friends and family! I'm privileged to be apart of that love now," the DWTS pro wrote.

"The time I spend with you is better than all the time I've ever spent without you!" he continued. "It doesn't matter as long as I'm with you I feel like I'm where I'm suppose to be!"

So who is Brandon Armstrong's wife? Here's everything to know about Brylee Armstrong and her relationship with the DWTS pro.

She's from Utah Brylee grew up in Spanish Fork, Utah, before moving to Salem, Utah, where she spent most of her childhood. Reflecting on her upbringing during an October 2024 appearance on Weekly Trash , she described Salem as having a "small-town feel where everyone knows everybody."

Her parents raised her alongside two brothers, one who was four years older and the other six years younger. Despite the age gaps, she considered their family dynamic to be "really close."

While the whole family was tight-knit, Brylee shared a particularly special bond with her mom, whom she nicknamed her "momager." She played a key role in helping Brylee navigate a packed schedule of school and extracurricular activities during her "super busy" years.

As for her education, Brylee shared on the podcast that it felt like the "High School Musical experience," adding that "everyone does a sport, everyone's involved, it's like happy-go-lucky."

Although she and Brandon now split their time between Utah and Los Angeles, Brylee revealed that it's their "dream" to have a home in Utah, close to the duo's friends and family.

She grew up a competitive dancer Brylee may not be a pro on DWTS like her husband, but she did grow up with a love for dance. During her appearance on Weekly Trash, she shared that she had wanted to be a dancer from a young age, though her mom was initially hesitant.

"She was like, 'Girl, please. I don't even know how to put your hair in a braid, so no, we're not doing that,' " Brylee recalled.

Eventually, they "compromised," and Brylee took up gymnastics instead — until she broke her arm and told her mom, "Time to do dance."

When Brylee was 7 years old, her mom came around. She ended up signing Brylee up for dance classes and became her "biggest cheerleader."

Brylee performed competitively in multiple styles at a studio in Salem until she entered high school. Then, she split her time between her school's dance company and cheerleading. When college began, Brylee attended a local school, where she danced for one season.

She soon realized she didn't "love dance enough anymore to stay here for that," prompting her to transfer schools and keep dancing only for fun.

She graduated from Utah Valley University Brylee graduated from Utah Valley University in December 2020 with a bachelor's degree in communications with an emphasis in public relations, per her LinkedIn .

Since it was during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, her graduation was a drive-through celebration — but she officially walked across the stage in May 2021.

While on Weekly Trash, Brylee shared that Brandon had asked to come to the graduation even though they weren't officially dating at the time.

Given the unique circumstances, she decided to invite him to her afterparty instead.

"You think you're going to pile into my dad's truck with my siblings and everyone and be like, 'Nice to meet you,' as you're all sitting on top of each other?" she recalled saying.

They met on Instagram In a March 2022 interview with PEOPLE, Brandon shared that he was "going on a few dates" before he met Brylee, but "they were all lame."

He downloaded Mutual, a dating app for members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, "to be funny," but then took it more seriously when he saw Brylee's profile.

"I was scrolling through and saw her but I was too embarrassed to message her ," he said. "So, I DM'ed her on Instagram instead and she ghosted me."

"I was trying to be cool," Brylee admitted.

They had their first date at the Cheesecake Factory, which Brandon recalled being "nervous" for, but was appeased when he realized "how easy the conversation was."

They married in July 2022 On March 7, 2022, Brandon asked Brylee to marry him. In a romantic proposal, he made a movie trailer that showcased their memories — a nod to one of their first deep conversations shared outside a movie theater.

"I wanted it to be perfect, as representative of what we've done so far, everything we stand for," he told PEOPLE. "I started crying when the trailer came out and I knew I was screwed. All of our best friends and family were there and I walked her down to the front, told her I loved her and can't wait to start a family with her."

About a year and a half after dating, they tied the knot on July 30, 2022.

After participating in a religious ceremony that morning, the couple exchanged vows in front of friends and family at Siempre, a venue nestled in the Draper, Utah, mountains.

"Because so many people get married in Utah so young, we wanted something that was a little bit different than the traditional church, chapel wedding," Brandon told PEOPLE.

Following their nuptials, the newlyweds went on a honeymoon in the Dominican Republic.

She calls herself a "professional dance wife" Brylee takes her role as a " professional dance wife " seriously.

With a background in social media, Brylee has taken her talents to TikTok, where she often documents her life supporting Brandon at his rehearsals and shows and the behind the scenes of his life as a pro on DWTS.

Brylee is also a regular in the audience each week of the show, and has picked up a thing or two from watching the dances up close — and having a pro coach at home.

The content creator frequently shares videos recreating dances from the show in their home, including a series she calls, "Forcing my husband to teach me cool tricks he does on DWTS."
