Have a slice of Cuban pizza at this Gem of Tampa Bay
TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Have you ever heard of Cuban pizza? Well, this Gem of Tampa Bay is known for them!
Noventa Millas is a pizzeria owned and operated by a local Cuban family.
"When you come here, you feel like you're eating a pizza on the street of your house back in Cuba," Manager Cristian Trujillo said. "Makes you feel like you are there."
Noventa Millas means "90 miles" in Spanish, which is the distance between the U.S. and Cuba.
"It is so iconic for Cubans," Trujillo explained. "Those numbers are like everything. It means they can be free. "
The Trujillo Family has been working on their American Dream since 2018, bringing their culture to the local community.
Specialty pizzas on the menu include chorizo, Mexican, Venezuelan, Hawaiian, olive, pepperoni, bacon, and mushroom.
Customers can also order smoothies made out of guava, mamey, papaya, mango, passionfruit, strawberry, etc.
