Fan of Bridgerton? Themed tea party will be held in Papillion this July

Finger sandwiches, sweet and savory treats and quiche will be served at a Bridgerton Tea Party in Papillion on July 14.

The event is a tribute to the popular historical romance books by Julia Quinn and the Netflix TV series adapted from those novels set in London during the early 1800s.

Ladies are encouraged to wear gowns, fancy dresses and jewels and gentlemen can wear tailcoats and bowties. Prizes will be awarded for best gown, hat and jewelry.

Guests can also paint their own Bridgerton-style tea cup with help from the Blaze & Brush Art Studio.

Tickets are $45 and include food and your first cocktail or mocktail. They're available at jewelsmountaintea.square.site . The commemorative cups and the supplies to paint them are an additional $20, paid onsite.

The tea, from 1 to 2:30 p.m., will be at The Fireside, 841 Tara Plaza.
