Mega Millions winning numbers, live results for Tuesday’s $420M lottery drawing

The Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday's lottery drawing has increased to an estimated $420 million, with a cash option of $191.7 million.

The drawing will be held at 10:59 p.m. and televised on WABC-7 in New York City and Fox 29 in Philadelphia. NJ.com will publish the winning numbers immediately following the drawing.

While no one across the country hit Friday's $387 million jackpot, a pair of second-prize $1 million tickets were sold — one in Missouri and one at Stop & Shop in Peekskill, New York, lottery officials said. Each matched five numbers but not the Mega Ball.

The Mega Millions jackpot hasn't been hit since a ticket worth $800 million was bought in Sugar Land, Texas, for the Sept. 10 drawing.

Players have a 1 in 12,607,306 chance of a ticket matching five numbers but not the Mega Ball and winning at least $1 million. The odds of matching four numbers plus the Mega Ball for a prize of at least $10,000 are 931,001 to 1.

Mega Millions drawings are held each Tuesday and Friday in 45 states, along with Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Wednesday's Powerball jackpot is worth an estimated $155 million with a cash option of $71.3 million.
