Hurricane Isaac has been upgraded to a category 2 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 105 mph. This storm will remain over the northern tropical Atlantic.

Tropical Storm Joyce is in the Central Tropical Atlantic will remain far away from any land.

There are two other areas the National Hurricane Center is monitoring for development. One in the western Caribbean has a 40% chance of development in the next 7 days. The other wave coming off the Western Coast of Africa has a 10% chance of developing over the next 2 days and a 50% chance of developing over the next 7 days.
