3 badly injured in Austin apartment fire

Three people were badly injured in an apartment fire late Thursday night in Austin on the West Side.
Around 11:30 p.m., officers responded to the fire in the 4700 block of West Ohio Street as firefighters were extinguishing the blaze, Chicago police said.
A 33-year-old man suffered burns to his arms and face and he was taken to the Loyola University Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
An 81-year-old man and 64-year-old woman both suffered smoke inhalation and were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where they were both in serious condition, officials said.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
