Two children hit, injured by vehicle in SW Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY ( KFOR ) – Two boys were hit by a car in southwest Oklahoma City Thursday night, police say.

According to Oklahoma City Police, the collision happened around 10 p.m. near SW 44th St. and Pennsylvania Ave.

Officials say it looks like the boys ran into the street when they were hit. Both were taken to a nearby hospital, one was critically injured and the other was alert.

Their current condition is unknown as the investigation continues.

Ford Motor Co. will pay a penalty of up to $165 million to the U.S. government for moving too slowly on a recall and failing to give accurate recall information. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Thursday that the civil penalty is the second-largest in its 54-year history.
