50 Cent meets with La. governor

(KSLA) — Posts made Wednesday (Oct. 16) on some of rapper 50 Cent's social media accounts indicate there was a meeting that day in Baton Rouge involving him, Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry and Shreveport Mayor Tom Arceneaux.

"Me, Shreveport Mayor Tom Arceneaux and Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry had a great meeting today. Let's work • www.gunitbrands.com ," says a Facebook post that was made at 7:15 p.m.

KSLA News 12 is working to learn details of the meeting between 50 Cent and Gov. Landry.

But earlier on KSLA This Morning, Mayor Arceneaux spoke with KSLA News 12′s Steven Maxwell about how tax reform could impact Louisiana's film tax credit and what that could mean for 50 Cent's G-Unit Film and Television Studios.

Mayor Arceneaux said reasons other than the tax credit led 50 Cent to establish his base in Shreveport. And he said he's ready to see the impact that 50 Cent's role in the entertainment industry will have on the region.
