1 dead in I-69 crash near Potterville leads to closure

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — One woman has died in a crash that occurred on I-69 near Vermontville Hwy., leading to the closure of southbound traffic between Hartel Rd. and Lansing Rd.

Michigan State Police report that the single vehicle crash occurred on Saturday, Nov. 2. at approximately 10:20 a.m.

After preliminary investigation by MSP, it is believed that the 77-year-old female driver suffered a medical emergency while driving causing her to crash her 2023 Kia Sportage.

The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle at the time of the crash.

I-69 southbound will be closed while police conduct their investigation.
