1 dead in officer-involved shooting in New Hampshire

PLYMOUTH, N.H. (WCAX) - One man is dead after an officer-involved shooting in Plymouth, New Hampshire.

It happened early Thursday morning at the Federal House Inn on Route 25.

Authorities say police were called to a disturbance at the inn where they found an armed man had barricaded himself inside. Officials say police engaged with the man and that led to the fatal shooting, but they did not provide specific details and say the exact circumstances are still under investigation.

The identity of the man who was shot has not yet been released.

Officials say no officers were injured and there is no known threat to the public.
