Two sitting Rancho Cucamonga councilmembers are leading in their runs for reelection, unofficial election results show, and voters appear to be supporting the city's tax measure.

In the District 1 race, incumbent Ashley Stickler holds a 41.32% lead, with Erick Jimenez following with 31.70% and Luis Cetina at 26.82%, according to unofficial results released at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6.

Stickler's campaign recently came under scrutiny when a clerical error cleared her and four candidates in neighboring cities to move forward in elections without the proper number of valid signatures.

After an extension was given by the registrar's office to obtain additional signatures Stickler met the requirements and proceeded with the election.

In District 4, incumbent Lynne Kennedy is leading with 73.81% over Steven A. Lacey 's 26%.

The city's Transient Occupancy Tax, or Measure Q, has 57.84% voting in favor of the measure, which needs a simple majority to pass.

According to an impartial analysis, Measure Q would generate an additional $1 million in revenue for the city and increase the current 10% tax rate to 12%.

The San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters expects to update results at 4 p.m. daily until all votes are counted.
