25 firearms stolen from U-Haul parked at Kansas City hotel

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Investigations are underway after 25 firearms were stolen from a U-Haul traveling through Kansas City, Missouri on Monday, according to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

The ATF said that on or around Monday, employees of Stag Arms & Aero Precision USA were driving through the metro and stopped at a local hotel. At some point during their stay, between the hours of 7:30 p.m. and Monday morning, an individual or multiple people burglarized their U-Haul and stole 25 guns.

According to a news release, the ATF and the National Shooting Sports Foundation are offering $2,500 each, for a total of $5,000.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call ATF at (888) 283-8477, email at submit an anonymous tip through the "Reportit" app, or text ATFKC to 62975.

Investigations will be conducted by ATF Special Agents from the Kansas City Field Office and the Kansas City Police Department.
