19 First Alert Weather Day: Wind-driven rain on Tuesday; 35 mph gusts likely

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Low pressure will move into the Great Lakes region on Tuesday, bringing widespread rain and strong winds to the area.

Rain will move in through the early-morning hours of Tuesday, overspreading northeast Ohio by mid-to-late morning.

The rain will linger through the afternoon, and it may be heavy at times.

The combination of wind and rain will be a major issue for holiday travelers and commuters on Tuesday.

Winds may gust upward of 35 mph.

The rain will move out Tuesday evening, allowing colder air to move into the region.

Temperatures will only climb into the low 40s on Wednesday.

Light lake effect rain showers will occur, especially Wednesday morning.

Wednesday will also be quite blustery, giving us wind chill, or feels-like, temperatures in the 30s.

It will warm up a bit for Thanksgiving.

The 19 First Alert Weather Team is forecasting a high of 50 degrees on Thursday.

Expect partly to mostly sunny skies.
