5 kids injured in school bus crash in St. Petersburg

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — A crash involving a school bus sent five kids to the hospital on Monday morning, the St. Peterburg Police Department announced.

The crash occurred at the intersection of 27th Avenue South and 37th Street South. Investigators said a Jeep SUV was involved.

  • The bus was carrying 15 passengers from Azalea Middle School. Five kids were taken to All Children's Hospital with minor injuries, the sheriff's office said.

    The driver of the jeep was also transported to the Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital. His condition is unknown.

    The investigation is ongoing.
