SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Two men who were involved in a deadly shooting in 2019 at the former Kingston Village Apartments have pleaded guilty in court, the Caddo Parish District Attorney's Office reports.

The shooting, which happened back on Dec. 5, 2019, left one man dead. Then, a separate (but connected) shooting left another person seriously hurt.

The DA's office says on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024, Nicholas Corinthos Harris, 24, pleaded guilty to manslaughter for the fatal shooting of Tramell "Tray" Lewis, 18. The DA says Lewis was sitting in a car eating pizza with friends at the apartment complex (located in the 9000 block of Kingston Road) when Harris and another man, LaDarrius Treshun Walker, 25, drove up in a burgundy SUV and fired more than 20 shots.

PREVIOUS REPORTING:

Lewis was shot once in the head and died later at the hospital.

Walker, who was the driver of the SUV, pleaded guilty as well on Thursday. The DA's office says he admitted to attempted second-degree murder in connection with a shooting that happened earlier that same day. His victim was also an 18-year-old male, who was walking on Bethany Street looking down at his phone when he heard gunshots. He realized he had been shot in the right arm, left middle finger, and buttocks.

District Judge John D. Mosely Jr. sentenced Harris and Walker. Both were given 15 years in prison.
