BLEU COFFEE

Jersey City-based Bleu Coffee is opening a new location in Montclair at 8 Erie Street in the Walnut Street District near the Walnut Street train station.

LIT CAFE

Meanwhile, work on another coffee shop is nearing the finish line at 25 Church Street.

Lit Café – a specialty coffeehouse and studio – recently announced that it was accepting resumes from "fellow caffeine enthusiasts" as it continues to work towards opening day.

That day appears to be getting closer, according to a recent social media exchange on the café's Instagram page .

"When will you open?" a commenter posted last week, adding that they "can't wait."

"Stay tuned – our opening date will be announced shortly," the café replied.

An update was posted on Sunday: "Our Church Street café is nearly brewed. Awnings up, and coffee machines coming in hot. Get ready to sip with us very, very soon."
